Vintage and contemporary photographic work created in The South Bronx during the mid-1980s to late 90s. The region and people where the craft of photography began for me at the tender age of 10, and the place that has been my greatest visual muse during my creative career.visit gallery
Spanish Harlem, AKA "El Barrio," represents a second awakening for me. It signifies a return to the craft of documentary photography after an extended period during which I did not photograph in the streets and the majority of my photography was composed of commissioned portraits or 'behind-the-scenes' work in the film production sector. "Areítos En El Barrio" is a special long-term photo-essay that is currently a 'work-in-progress.'visit gallery
For as long I can remember, venturing out into the streets of New York City has always been a draw for me, especially with a camera in hand. This gallery represents a collection of my photographic "street nouns" showcasing the people, places, and things I've seen and captured during my travels through the concrete jungle, where the vast urban ladscapes is ever-changing and unmatched anywhere else. The beautifual people who inhabit its sidewalks, parks, and alleys are the icing on the cake of this amazing visual tapestry.
