COLLECTIVE STATEMENT HISTORIAS: The Stories Behind the Images isSeis del Sur’s next group exhibition. This interactive multimedia exhibition will go below the surface of the collective’s documentary photographs of The Bronx—many never exhibited before—and illuminate the borough’s historical narrative through contextual timelines, meta and personal anecdotes. The photographic work featured in this pop-up showcase, presented by The Bronx County Historical Society, will cover a broad range of issues and topics that have impacted the people of the Bronx over the last four decades and informed our unique regional idiosyncrasies.
Featuring Joe Conzo, Jr., Ricky Flores, Ángel Franco, David González, Edwin Pagán, and Francisco Molina Reyes II.
SeisPlus(6+) is a collaborative exhibition program designed to create added presenting partnerships with other like-minded photojournalists and documentary photographers.
During this exhibition, Seis del Sur presents two documentary photographers whose work is directly in line with our three operating maxims, and who have spent their professional creative lives documenting the Bronx and its people: Carmen Mojica, and Abigail Montes.
